About MoveRecord
Why it was made
Moving out is when photos taken on the first day suddenly matter, and it is also when they are hardest to find: scattered across a camera roll, without notes, and with no easy way to show the before and after next to each other.
The tools that help with this are mostly apps that need an install, an account or a subscription, often with photos stored on their servers. Someone who moves once every few years may not want another account for a single afternoon of photos. MoveRecord was built for that one job: pair the photos, keep the notes, make a clean document, and do it without collecting anyone's home photos.
What it is and is not
MoveRecord is a free tool for organising your own photos and notes into a personal record. It is not an inspection service, it does not judge damage, and it does not prove when a photo was taken. It does not replace the condition report form, inspection or signature steps required where you live.
Who runs it
MoveRecord is made and run by Eddy Hwang, an independent developer in Korea who builds small single-purpose web tools. Contact: eddyhwang.kr@gmail.com.
How it works
- The page is a static website. Photos are processed by your browser with standard Canvas features; PDFs are assembled in the browser with the open-source pdf-lib library (MIT license, served from this site).
- No advertising, analytics or AI service receives your photos or notes. Visits are counted with cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics, which never sees page content.
- The code is checked with automated tests for page layout, photo handling, backups and the PDF output before each release.
