Privacy policy
Effective 20 October 2026. This policy describes what the MoveRecord website (this site) does with information.
Your photos and notes
- Photos you choose and text you type are processed only inside your browser. They are not sent to our server or to any third party.
- They are kept in the memory of the open tab only. MoveRecord does not save them in cookies, local storage or any other browser storage. Closing or reloading the tab deletes them from the tab.
- Files you download (PDF and backup) are saved on your device by your browser. We cannot see, change or delete them. The backup file is not encrypted.
- Re-encoded photos do not carry the original camera metadata. Content visible inside a photo is not removed.
Website requests
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you load a page, Cloudflare receives the usual request information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This happens on every website and does not include your photos or notes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles that data.
Visit statistics
To count page views and visits, the site loads the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and is not used to identify you. It sends aggregate information such as the page address (without anything after ? or #), the referring site, browser and device type, country and page load timing. It does not read the page, so your photos and notes are never part of it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and ads
MoveRecord sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or other third-party scripts. If ads are added to keep the site free, this policy will be updated before the change, and any ad partner's cookies will be described here with a way to opt out.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. Do not send photos of your home unless they are needed to answer your question.
Children
The site is meant for adults dealing with rental housing and does not knowingly collect information from children.
